Fievel's back, and this time it’s personal. An American Tail: Fievel Goes West lets you step into the little cowboy boots of everyone’s favorite Russian mouse as he tries to save the Wild West from cat-shaped villainy. It’s a platformer aimed at kids, but the difficulty curve seems to have been designed by someone who hates children. Jumps feel slippery, enemies are relentless, and poor Fievel dies a lot. Still, the game is oddly charming and full of character. Just maybe don’t give it to your five-year-old unless you enjoy tantrums.
